I've always thought it would be great to enjoy fresh home grown tomatoes on grilled burgers while celebrating the 4th of July......... looks like it could happen this year!
For years - I have "worked" in the yard - just planting a few annuals and mowing the grass! It seemed like work and something was always missing. Feeling like a frustrated “artist” with no creative outlet - I decided that maybe gardening could be art form that I had been looking for. Creating sights, smells, hardscapes, softscapes in a previously neglected space has been like working with a blank canvas.
Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog, and for playing along with Share a Garden Sunday! Last year someone gave me a tomato plant, and try as I may, it didn't work out - AT ALL! In fact, it died only a week later, and so I got my tomatoes at the Farmers Market. I envy your green thumb ... flowers I can do, veggies and fruits - no way! :)
ReplyDeleteMy cherry tomatoes are ripe and we'll harvest some tomorrow -- we always thought we were successful if we had a tomato by the 4th!
ReplyDeleteLike Artie, however, I buy most of my tomatoes -- at the farmer's market.
Good for you...the tomato is looking luscious!
ReplyDeleteYummmm....mine wont make it. I love your post about fireflys...I have never seen one...crazy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
